~ Important Information ~
*** Please Carpool! ***
In honor of Pachamama (and to not overflow the parking area) please carpool with friends. One option is to park at the bottom entrance of the preserve and then drive up the hill. Click here for a map of the lower parking area.
* Please Arrive Early *
• We will gather around 10:20am at the right hand side of the cul-de-sac parking area before walking in to the preserve together at 10:30.
If you get location disoriented when arriving, call Antonio @ 415-870-4004
* There are a couple of uphill climbs as part of this journey before we reach our vista destination! So, thank goodness for the cacao inspiration that will motivate us along! :D
And, this hike is not for everyone. If hiking outdoors is not in your physical abilities, then this might not be a good fit for you. Trust your knowing of your body!
What To Bring?
• Please bring a mug or insulated drinking vessel for the hot libation.
We will be packing in all of our stuff so it is not possible to bring mugs for everyone.
• A blanket and / or cushion to sit on
• Please bring a water bottle with plenty of water for the ceremony
• Outdoor / hiking shoes
• Layers just in case. It might get windy on top of the mountain! (or might be hot too!)
• A small day pack to carry whatever you might want
• A musical instrument, song, inspiration to share.
• A snack or treat that you can share with everyone that is packable and transportable.
• Whatever else will make you comfortable
Optional Items to Enhance Your Comfort
• A journal for self reflection
To receive the full power of the Cacao it is suggested to not eat a big meal prior to the ceremony and avoid any other morning stimulants. It will also be encouraged to drink lots of water following the ceremony to stay hydrated and support in the assimilation of the cacao throughout the day.
* You do not have to drink Cacao to attend and receive blessings from the day. *
~ Contraindications ~
A full ceremonial cacao drink (about 1.5 ounces of ceremonial grade cacao) is not recommended for you if you have a serious heart condition, if you are taking antidepressants, if you have low blood pressure, or if you are pregnant. It is also not receommended to mix with alcohol or other stimulants. Cacao is toxic to Dogs, Cats, Horses and other animals so if you choose to take some home with you please keep it away from your pets. ♥
