Our single-origin criollo cacao paste is made from raw cacao beans sourced from small farm cooperatives in the jungles of Peru. Beyond being certified organic, fairly traded, and sustainably grown, these beans are also heirloom - meaning the seeds have been passed down from generation to generation, helping to preserve rainforest biodiversity and support sustainable livelihoods in local communities.

All of our ceremonial grade cacao offers a rich supply of antioxidants, minerals such as calcium, magnesium, iron, and zinc, and unique compounds that have been shown to boost energy levels and feel-good brain neurotransmitters. Our low-temperature, stone ground process of this Peruvian cacao ensures that our paste retains the original nutrition found within the whole bean.
